Needwood Rhodie is a commercial version of the tradional Rhode Island Red that everyone recognises as the old farmyard breed. The hybrid version is a medium sized bird compared to the pure breed which is very large. They are a very hardy breed, friendly, easy to manage and suit a small garden group or a larger free-ranging flock. Customer love the look of this tradional breed and they tend to be very popular.

Eggs – They are a layer of mid-brown eggs and can lay up to approximately 300 in their first year of lay.
