The Bluebell is a very attractive hybrid chicken that would stand out from the crowd. With its lovely grey/blue colouring, each feather laced around the edge, it tends to be a very popular choice. They are available in different shades of dark grey/blue and some can either have gold or dark coloured neck feathers. These differences can make it easy to tell them apart for naming. One of the larger hybrids. They are said to be a cross between a Rhode Island Red and Maran.
Temperament – Active and friendly. Leader in the flock. Unlikely to go broody. Very robust. Large.
Eggs – They are a layer of light brown eggs and can lay up to approximately 260 a year.
