Pages Poultry Ultimate Chicken Keeping Course.

New for 2012 is our ultimate chicken keeping course and Chicken keeping starter kits. I have had many new starters over the last year feeling confused and a little worried about keeping chickens. Although I have done my best to give guidance whilst buying the birds I have not had enough time to go through all the aspects. Our course will cover everything you will need to know starting out.

The course will be run at Pages Poultry where you will be able to wander between about 600 birds (last count ha ha). There are also Geese, Ducks, Quail, Turkeys, Pigs, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Sheep to see. We have chickens of all different ages and you will also be able to see the hatchery and nursery.

"We were confirmed townies and completed our escape to the country 8 years ago, part of our new rural life was keeping chickens.  Our first two hens Barbara and Margo arrived complete with their bright yellow hen house.  We really enjoyed keeping our own hens and collecting our own eggs, it was the start of a slippery slope.  Since then we have expanded our folk and knowledge of hens and have been running Hen Keeping Courses for nearly 3 years.  Away from hens we are experienced at delivering training to an array of industries with interactive courses. Through our trials and triumphs we can help you feel prepared to welcome your hens home."
